Are you a multitasker? Chances are, no matter what you may think, the correct answer is no. According to leading neurologists, multitasking is neurologically impossible, and attempting to multitask can decrease your overall productivity by up to 40%. This is due to the "cognitive switching penalty" that occurs whenever your brain tries to switch back and forth between 2 or more tasks. Although you may be attempting to work on both at the same time, your brain can really only focus on one activity at a time, and the time spent switching between tasks is time lost being productive. So keep a single focus, use time batching techniques, and work toward completion in each task!
